About Thomas Shop Museum

The Thomas Shop/Museum dates back to 1805 when it was a social and economic centre in Mid Wales long before Llandrindod Wells rose to fame. The museum celebrates a time when the customer was always right and respected. The collection, donated by many local and more distant friends is an extraordinary collection that allows you to indulge in memories of a time almost forgotten. As a shop you can purchase home made jams and preserves, as well as a range of items that are in keeping with the museum/shop’s traditions. You will need to book to be able to enjoy the museum and the facilities, but once there you can enjoy our Tea Room which is celebrated for its scones, cream teas, cakes, meringues, and coffee and catering to suit all tastes and diets.
