This place is an amazing affordable option for people who love hiking or riding bikes. The accommodations are great and well thought out. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Choose your cabin or stay in your van

The cabins are designed for comfort, practicality and adventure. There are 5 cosy cabins to choose from, all with a 4ft wide (small double) bunk bed, heaters and bike storage. The original cabins also have a single camp bed. There is also space for 1 or 2 small campervans.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the roost. The rooms are comfy and the kitchen has everything you need. Felt really secure and safe - will be back.

Brilliant for bikers and hikers

Given our proximity to BikePark Wales, the Taff Trail (cycle route 8) and the National Park, The Roost has secure in-cabin bike/gear storage, a bike wash, maintenance stand with tools and a drying room. And there are the all-important big comfy beds and lovely hot showers.

Dogs are very welcome at the Roost. They can roam free too, and the guest store is stocked with spare poop bags, dog bowls and even treats.

I have stayed here a few times now and all I can say is that I love this place. Everything about it is amazing. The location, the views, the things to do nearby. If you are looking for an adventurous holiday where you can chill after your day’s activities in South Wales then this is the place.

A fantastic little place all secure and well thought out! Games for the kids, wash station for the bikes, fire pits and bbqs! Absolutely amazing stay would definitely come again and also very friendly other guests too! Brilliant memories to take away.

We loved our stay at Roost! Our cabin, complete with a separate kitchen and bathroom, was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Kath had thought of everything, making our stay relaxing and hassle-free. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat, and we hope to return in the future!
