"This is a truly magical find, can't recommend it highly enough and still counting our lucky stars we managed to book a few nights at short notice. Perfectly positioned for a 30 second stroll to the Cwmtydu beach and it's resident seals, or for the coast path to New Quay or south towards a brilliant beach (and breakfast) at Llangollen, it's also perfectly placed to just loll about in the hammock or cook up a storm in the seriously well equipped kitchen. We could not have found a better space to suit our needs nor a more idyllic location, I'm just loathed to tell anyone else how brilliant the place is, we'll never get in again!"
After years of living in deepest rural France returning to Wales meant adjusting to a different pace of life for us. In Cwmtydu we wanted to build a place of refuge, a retreat. Somewhere in nature away from the noise and stress of the constant competition to acquire things.
Ty Cwch needed to be a place we could share with family and friends, affordable, where our children and grandchildren could enjoy and learn. We gather here to swim, watch the seals and dolphins, walk the coast and wooded paths, cook together in the well equipped Kitchen, and simply be present in this beautiful part of Wales. Children scramble on the beach, adults relax in hammocks, and everyone reconnects with what matters.
