Dyfi Donkey Wood is based at Dyfi Donkeys, an outdoor Equine Assisted Learning and Wellbeing Centre , where interaction with our therapeutic herd of 12 donkeys and immersion in our natural surroundings offer physical space and mental freedom to encourage personal growth, improve wellbeing and engage in alternative education, personal growth or just family fun.
Bookable experiences on offer:
- Private visits in our 4-acre wood with 4 free roaming donkeys. Visitors can physically interact with the donkeys without fences, take part in a grooming session with the chance to learn more about donkeys. A longer visit gives access to our 45 acres private nature reserve with ancient woodland and wildlife meadow, also the chance to meet all the donkeys. The visits can be adapted for those with mobility issues.
- Tailored Donkey treks in the hills around Dyfi Donkey Wood. Approximately 2 hours long, medium fitness required due to the terrain. Walking in the company of a donkey is a unique walking experience. Both meditative and leisurely. We will travel at the natural pace of the donkeys, taking in the environment from a different perspective.
