About Chancery Cottage

Perfectly located in a pretty quiet lane in the centre of Hay-on-wye town. Beautiful and charming cosy Welsh stone cottage with original exposed oak beams. The cottage sleeps 4 in two comfortable bedrooms, with a ground-floor bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and fast fibre Wi-Fi.

Guests have private parking close by the cottage and a secluded, south facing sunny courtyard garden, a calm spot to sit out after a day exploring.  Well-behaved dogs (maximum 2) are welcome.  Easy accessible walks from the door to the riverside and easy and the surrounding countryside.

The cottage suits couples, friends and small families who want their own front door in Hay, a place to relax and live at their own pace.  An ideal base for the town and for days out in Bannau Brycheiniog/Brecon Beacons.

Clean, fully equipped and comfortable sit-in kitchen, good size lounge with electric stove in large stone fireplace, ground floor bathroom with freestanding roll-top slipper bath and separate shower unit with good water pressure for a refreshing start to your day. Upstairs two bedrooms with comfortable beds, front bedroom with standard double and built in wardrobe and second bedroom with small double and compact hanging space.

Wi-Fi fast fibre included.

The cottage has been lovingly adorned with local Welsh art and artefacts of interest which add to its' charm and character.  Church pew, church chairs, beautiful Welsh woollen throws from Pembrokeshire mill.

Stable doors from the kitchen to enclosed secluded south facing courtyard garden at rear of cottage with dining seating, a lovely sun trap in summer to sit and read or enjoy a glass of wine. A private parking for one car only minutes’ walk from the cottage or unallocated parking in lane outside cottage.
