The Welsh Whisky Festival 2026 will be held in Llandudno from 30 October to 1 November. It is one of Wales’ largest whisky festivals, bringing together distilleries, independent bottlers, and whisky enthusiasts from across the United Kingdom and beyond. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a wide range of whiskies, meet producers, attend educational sessions, and enjoy a weekend celebrating whisky culture.
The festival will begin on Friday evening with a special opening dinner featuring a multi-course Welsh meal paired with Welsh whiskies. Guests will have the opportunity to listen to industry experts and learn more about the history and production of Welsh whisky while enjoying carefully selected food and drink pairings.
Saturday will be the main day of the festival, with large tasting sessions where attendees can explore hundreds of whiskies from a wide range of exhibitors. The event typically includes a commemorative tasting glass, access to exhibitors, and opportunities to take part in guided tasting sessions and whisky discussions. Distillery tours and special festival bottlings are also among the attractions available to visitors.
On Sunday, the focus will shift to more intimate experiences, including masterclasses and special tasting sessions. These events allow participants to explore specific distilleries, whisky styles, or production techniques in greater depth. Some sessions will be held at the Penderyn Distillery in Llandudno, giving visitors the opportunity to learn directly from whisky makers.
