Tintern Abbey is a national icon — still standing in roofless splendour on the banks of the River Wye nearly 500 years since its tragic fall from grace. Dogs are welcome on all parts of the grounds, but must be on lead at all times.

Shop and dine: Abbey Mill Complex
Abbey Mill is a riverside shopping and dining complex housed in the 'Old Mill Buildings', open all throughout the year except Christmas Day and Boxing day. You'll find a licensed coffee shop and restaurant, various shops and the Wye Valley Craft Association.
Walkies: the Old Station
Previously a Victorian country railway station, the Old Station is a lovely spot by the river to stop and grab a cuppa from the tea room. There's plenty of green space to explore as well.
Tour and toast: Tintern Parva Vineyard
Parva Farm is a privately owned and run vineyard open to the public at weekends and bank holiday for self-led vineyard tours. Dogs on leads are welcome on all parts of the vineyard including the shop.
