Set within the beautiful woodland and waterside surroundings of Swiss Valley Reservoir near Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. LiveFree Adventures offers a unique mix of outdoor adventure, boat hire, wellness and nature-based experiences in an accessible and scenic setting.

Visitors can explore the calm, sheltered waters of the reservoir by rowboat, paddleboard, kayak, mega-sup or canoe, with equipment hire, guided sessions and lessons available for beginners, families, groups and first-time paddlers. As the only provider in Carmarthenshire offering rowboat hire, LiveFree Adventures provides a relaxed and accessible way to enjoy time on the water at your own pace, alongside more active paddle sport experiences supported by accessible and inclusive facilities.

Located just 12 minutes from Junc 48 on the M4 and within easy reach of the Gower Peninsula and West Wales, the site is also directly connected to the Swiss Valley Cycle Route, part of the National Cycle Network (Route 47), making it an ideal stop for cyclists and those exploring the area.

The reservoir is a popular place to walk and spend time outdoors, with a scenic circular route including sections of tarmacked, wheelchair-friendly path. The surrounding area is well suited to relaxed visits as well as active days out, with dog-friendly routes and plenty of space to explore, unwind and enjoy nature.

Beyond the water, visitors can enjoy a growing range of land and woodland-based activities, including climbing, slacklining, forest school sessions, nature clubs and hands-on workshop experiences in the Woods.

The site is also home to Sauna Y Coed, the highest-rated outdoor sauna in Wales, offering a wood-fired woodland sauna and cold plunge experience for those looking to relax and recharge.

Visitors can also stop at the Visitor Hwb, where Hiatus Coffee serves coffee and refreshments, making it a great place to meet, refuel and spend time by the reservoir.
