Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery is a Grade 1 listed building, built in 1825 for Ironmaster William Crawshay II. The museum, opened in 1910, showcases Merthyr Tydfil's rich heritage from the Roman conquest to the Industrial Revolution. Visitors can enjoy a yearly programme of walks, talks, workshops, family trails, and temporary exhibitions.
