About Stori Brymbo

Stori Brymbo is a developing heritage attraction in Brymbo, Wrexham, on the former Brymbo Iron and Steelworks site. It traces a 300 million year journey, from the prehistoric Brymbo Fossil Forest through the rise of ironmaking and steelworking to the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution and the community that grew around it.

The site is closed to general visitors after Easter and will fully open in June 2026, when access to key areas, interpretation, guided walks and events will increase. Until full opening, access is limited to occasional, prearranged events and activities.

Stori Brymbo suits families, school groups and anyone with an interest in geology, industry and social history. Opening times and what is available change as the project develops, so please check the latest details and event dates on the website before planning a visit.
