About Parc Bryn Bach

Parc Bryn Bach is a beautiful local nature reserve conveniently situated just off the A465 in the heart of the South Wales Valleys. It is set in 340 acres of mixed grass and woodland with a 36-acre lake as its focal point.

This stunning landscape is the perfect family day out and our visitor centre is home to the Lake View cafe - a licensed restaurant serving delicious hot and cold meals with indoor and outdoor seating. You will find a well-stocked tourist information centre and gift shop.

The park provides many activities both on and off the lake including open water swimming, kayaking and SUP. Cycling facilities at Parc Bryn Bach include mountain bike trails and recreational routes linking to the national Sustrans network. The lakeside path is an ideal location for strolling, dog walking, jogging or speed walking and the footpath is also dotted with various exercise stations for those feeling more energetic.
You can enjoy a game of mini golf, footgolf and improve your swing at the driving range. Our go-karts provide a fun way to explore the park and you'll get better views of the park with our climbing wall. We also have an artificial cave which is perfect for all ages to explore.

We're proud to have been awarded the Green Flag Award. With our volunteers we work hard to maintain the glorious setting for our visitors to enjoy.
Local Nature Reserve

The park also provides a fabulous play area for children to explore and release their excess energy.

You can also work from the park, enjoying great views of the lake from the Wellbeing Workhub, with free Wi-Fi.

Our caravan site sits next to the lake offering great view of the park. There are also picnic areas and nature trails surrounding the lake.

Wildlife at the park is diverse and thriving. Waterfowl are abundant and many species can be seen throughout the changing seasons. There is a sculpture trail around the lake where you can scan the QR code to learn more about the local wildlife. It's hard to believe that in 1980 this was an industrial wasteland, exploited by the excavation of coal. Now Parc Bryn Bach is a beautiful nature reserve enjoyed by locals, visitors and wildlife.
