About Jacob Sheep Trekking & Farm Experience
Jacob Sheep Trekking and Farm Experience Days is a family‑run business based at Aberhyddnant Organic Farm, a 220‑acre organic hill farm in Crai, within Bannau Brycheiniog. Our experiences are perfect for visitors who want to escape to the countryside and spend time with friendly animals in a peaceful, scenic setting.
Enjoy a guided walk through the Welsh hills with a specially trained friendly sheep, a miniature Shetland pony or a goat. As you wander around the farm you can stroke, cuddle and feed your walking companion and capture that perfect #SheepSelfie.
In spring, our Lambing Experience Days offer a hands‑on look at daily farm life. Visitors can help with day to day farming tasks, meet newborn lambs and, on selected sessions, bottle‑feed orphan lambs. Junior Farmer Lambing Days are available for younger visitors who want to explore the farm and meet all the friendly animals.
Throughout the year we run felting workshops using wool from the farm, suitable for beginners and those with crafting experience. Guests wishing to extend their stay can book one of our self‑catering cottages or glamping geodomes and enjoy the quiet beauty of Crai’s hills and dark skies.
