Hen Ffermdy - Banceithin

Hen Ffermdy is the perfect home from home, romantic hideaway; a couple’s retreat for romantic breaks or just to escape to the country in Ceredigion.

This characterful self-catering eco-friendly holiday cottage is a former early 1800’s farmhouse, converted into a comfortable and spacious detached two-person cottage.

A contemporary fitted kitchen is well equipped, and essentials are provided like oil and a selection of herbs and spices for guests who like to cook. Reclaimed furniture not found in any catalogue or department store, and artistic touches, give the cottage a character all its own. The original stone walls have been retained throughout, with the high ceiling opened up to the roof around the wood burning stove. The mezzanine bedroom with en-suite shower room is accessed by a spiral staircase entwined with fairy lights. For added nostalgia, there is a working 1950s radiogram complete with LP collection.

There is an enclosed rear garden with a small lawn and patio, table, chairs and chiminea, and a barbecue is available for summer. To the front, through the French windows, is a small patio with table and chairs, perfect for an evening glass of wine as the sun goes down with the chickens for company.
