Y Talbot is a characterful Grade 2 Listed Inn located on the market square in the attractive small town of Tregaron, Ceredigion. Originally a drovers inn Y Talbot is ideally situated for exploring the empty hills and stunning coastline of Ceredigion. The university town and resort of Aberystwyth is within 40 minutes drive.

Y Talbot has been tastefully renovated,retaining its character whilst providing top quality food, drink and accomodation and offering warm, friendly service from our mainly bilingual staff.

Head Chef Dafydd Watkin invites you to enjoy our excellent menus, drawing on the superb fresh produce from West Wales. Y Talbot has established a first class reputation for its food, is listed in the Michelin guide and has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes.

Y Talbot welcomes guest with limited mobility, there are no steps or ramps on the ground floor, an accessible toilet and a ground floor accessible bedroom to make a short visit or a longer stay convenient.
For warm, dry days there is an attractive patio and stunning terraced garden to the rear of the hotel.
We extend a warm welcome to cyclists and bikers and provide drying facilities and lockable storage.
