About Britannia Inn

The Britannia inn was built in the 14thC by the Monks of the nearby Valle Crucis Abbey. The Inn is situated at the foot of the Horseshoe Pass and has a commanding view of the Vale of Llangollen. Well known throughout the area for it's good food and hospitality, the Inn is a favourite for locals and holiday maker's alike. Featuring in many quality Food and Hotel guides it has also featured in many publications abroad, more recently it was favoured in the L.A. Times as the place to stop in North Wales. Another attraction for visitors to the Inn is it's award winning flowers and hanging baskets. Fine foods, wines and hand pulled real ales can be enjoyed in both our lounge and bar. Our menu offers a wide and varied selection of home cooked foods. Fresh produce and attention to detail have made the Britannia Inn the first choice for many a local and hungry traveler. Our ever Britannia Homemade Steak pie is very popular with walkers. We guarantee patrons a pleasurable dining experience, whether it be in the comfortable surroundings of our two lounges, or our Dining Room. Weather permitting, there is also plenty of outside seating area.
