About Caerwylan Hotel

Nestled in the heart of Criccieth on the stunning North Wales coast, The Caerwylan is a privately owned 4-star Victorian hotel offering a calm and relaxing retreat.

Take in breathtaking views of the sea, mountains, and historic Criccieth Castle from our Executive and Superior rooms. With five distinct room types to choose from, each of our 24 en-suite bedrooms is individually designed for comfort and character.

All rooms are thoughtfully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Guests in Executive rooms also enjoy bottled water and a sweet treat on arrival for that extra touch of indulgence.

Tonnau Restaurant open every evening from 6pm
Tonnau Restaurant

Unwind in our elegant sea-facing lounge and bar, fully stocked with a curated selection of wines, spirits, and locally brewed ales. In the evening, savour homemade dishes made with fresh local produce at our in-house restaurant, Tonnau. Every stay includes a delicious breakfast served with a view.

While a lift serves all floors, please note that due to the building’s original Victorian layout, there are a few steps between the lift and some rooms.

Exclusively for guests aged 12 and over, the hotel offers a peaceful, grown-up atmosphere—ideal for rest, relaxation, and outdoor adventure.

With Snowdonia National Park just a short drive away—and walking, cycling, golf, and a host of local attractions nearby—The Caerwylan is the perfect base to explore the natural beauty and rich heritage of North Wales.
