About Hendre Mynach Glamping
Hendre Mynach Touring Caravan & Camping Park is an award-winning site, only 100m from the beautiful, clean, and sandy beaches of Barmouth. We are situated between the coast road and the sea, a pleasant 20-minute walk along a flat promenade to Barmouth’s town centre. Hendre Mynach is ideal for both families and couples, along with dogs.
You can enjoy a touch of luxury in our deluxe glamping pods, which sleep four, with a separate bedroom and bathroom, and an open plan living, kitchen, and dining area. You won’t feel like you are glamping in the comfortable pods, which include sweeping views of the sea, and we allow dogs to stay. We also offer three smaller glamping pods, and three shepherd huts, some of which are dog friendly. Each includes two single beds with mattresses, but you will need to bring your own bedding. We also have well-equipped and comfortable static caravans to stay in. All of them have a double and two twin rooms, a shower room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lounge dining area.
All guests have use of the amenity block, which includes showers, washrooms with shaver points, toilets with disabled access, and hair dryers. Excellent facilities also include a laundrette, baby changing facilities, a baby bath, a children’s play park, a shop, and Electric car chargers.
We also offer a holiday house, which sleeps up to eight people over three bedrooms, with an ensuite family room, an accessibility wet room, and a utility room including a washer and dryer! The house has a unique upside-down layout to take full advantage of the panoramic view of the coast from the full-width balcony. The house also includes an open-plan living room, kitchen, dining room, games room, and a stair lift. We welcome dogs to stay and enjoy our fenced-off garden.
For those wishing to camp, we have hard-standing and grass pitches, all of which are on level ground, with water included, and electric hook-up and TV aerial points available on many pitches.
The Snowdonia National Park is right on the doorstep, with the foothills of Cadair Idris just 10 miles away by car. There are many lovely mountain and estuary walks in the area, varying in difficulty, please ask the site office for detailed information. The famous and beautiful Mawddach Estuary stretches from Barmouth to Dolgellau. You can drive down to Dolgellau and back up again to Fairbourne or walk or cycle down the footpath along the old railway line, starting by crossing the famous Barmouth Bridge, from which there are spectacular views of the estuary.
Within 10 miles of the caravan park, there are two golf courses, river and lake fishing, pony trekking, sailing, Harlech swimming pool, Harlech Castle, Fairbourne Miniature Railway, and mountain biking. Further afield there is the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village, Caernarfon Castle, Betws-y-Coed, Beddgelert, Snowdon, Celtica at Machynlleth, Ffestiniog, and Talyllyn Miniature Railways, and much, much more. There is simply so much to do!
