Sustainable foraging in Mid and South Wales

The Brecon Beacons Foraging experience led by author and renowned forager Adele Nozedar, offers a mix of exploring nature and cooking. The guided walks take place in and around Brecon, within Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons National Park), as well as in the town of Abergavenny and the village of Llanfrynach — all rich in heritage and offering plenty to discover along the way. This area on the border of Mid and South Wales, is perfect for finding wild herbs, edible flowers, and plants that can be used in cooking.

  • The monthly botanical gin foraging sessions, let you explore the local landscape, gather wild herbs and plants, and create your own unique gin blend with the fresh ingredients you've collected.
  • The guide will teach you how to identify plants and forage sustainably, helping you connect with nature responsibly.

The experience is all about immersing yourself in nature and at the same time engaging your senses.

Coastal foraging adventures in Pembrokeshire, West Wales

Join Wild About Pembrokeshire for a hands-on foraging walk along the stunning coast near St Davids, Pembrokeshire. Led by facilitator Julia Horton-Mansfield, you’ll discover edible plants, herbs, and seaweeds while learning how to use them in food and natural remedies.

  • You'll enjoy tasty treats and wild picnics along the way - some courses even let you cook and share what you find.
  • With the changing seasons, no tow walks are ever the same - each one brings new flavours, stories and suprises.

Depending on the weather you might cook on the beach or gather at Julia's cosy home for a session.

Woodland and coastal foraging courses in Machynlleth, Mid Wales

Rewild Everything offers sessions for anyone curious about edible plants, sustainable living, and the stories behind the wild food we eat. The foraging courses take place in the beautiful hills above the quaint village Eglwysfach, near Machynlleth, with a summer coastal option available from Borth, a seaside village on the Ceredigion coast path.

  • Full-day of foraging experiences with hands-on walks through woodlands, meadows, and hedgerows in Spring and Autumn.
