About The Granary

The Granary is a newly converted barn situated at the foot of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Conveniently placed midway between Hay-on-Wye and Brecon, it is ideal for the Hay Literary Festival, Brecon Jazz, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and many other local events.

The Granary has been tastefully converted and includes wooden floors and high vaulted ceilings throughout. We offer two luxury double en-suite rooms, and one, smaller, twin room.
Walkers and cyclists are always welcome with many of the recognised trails and walks on our doorstep.We can offer pick-ups, luggage drop-off and secure cycle storage as well as ample guest car parking on a gravel surface.

The historic town of Brecon is a 15-minute drive and offers many visitor attractions including Llangorse lake, the Dan-yr-Ogof caves and the Big Pit. Also to enjoy are the regular farmers markets and the endless options for outdoor pursuits such as mountain climbing, hill walking, canoeing, cycling, pony trekking, bird watching, water sports to gentle walks. Not forgetting the golf courses of Cradoc and Brecon.
