Seren Retreat is an idyllic location from which to explore the charm and mystic beauty of the Gower Peninsula. Our 23 acres of private grounds include open parkland, wildflower and water meadows and a river meandering through 6 acres of ancient oak forest.
Seren Retreat is a perfect base for families, couples or a group of friends. All types of nature and sport enthusiasts will appreciate the easy access to the beautiful beaches of the north and south Gower coasts. Walkers can enjoy a variety of footpaths along the coasts and valleys. There are 5 golf courses within easy reach, as well as horse-riding stables. You may even consider bringing your own horse to our farm.
Culture, history and folklore abound in this area, and everyone can enjoy exploring the castles, churches and ancient sites just at your doorstep. If on the other hand you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and de-stress, you do not have to go any further than our grounds. You can walk in the forest or sit on a bench to read, paint or just enjoy being in nature.
You will feel right at home in the house which is bright, spacious and comfortable. There are 3 double bedrooms available, one is en-suite. The en-suite can also be offered as a family room. Guests are welcome to relax in the spacious 35 foot living room which offers panoramic views of the countryside. You may also enjoy the patio, formal garden, and stone circle.
There are a choice of pubs and restaurants within easy reach of our farm in all directions. The villages of Three Crosses, Killay, Kittle and Bishopston are just 5 minutes by car, and the picturesque fishing village of Mumbles just 10 minutes away. The centre of Swansea is 7 miles away, with its shops, art galleries, museums, marina and central market. We also offer a variety of holistic bodywork therapies by fully qualified practitioners. Your hosts, Rex and Alaea Beynon, have more than 25 years experience in the holistic health field as Polarity Therapists, a combination of acupressure, reflexology and energy balancing techniques. A session after a days activity will be sure to undo any tensions you may have, help you to relax as well as renew your energy for your next adventure. You may want us to design a stress-reducing weekend retreat for you, providing you with a series of body-work sessions, yoga exercises, and a healthy, vegetarian menu to re-charge your batteries, transforming stress into vitality. We also offer a range of residential weekend courses to stimulate body, mind and spirit.
