About Barclodiad y Gawres (Cadw)

Barclodiad y Gawres "The Giantess's Apronful" is a type of monument known as a decorated Cruciform Passage Grave, and its location here in Anglesey makes it very unusual.
The burial chamber can be visited by appointment every Saturday & Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays between 12noon and 4pm from 1 April until 31 October. Visitors should call into the nearby Wayside Stores in Llanfaelog (01407 810153), one mile north of the chamber, and they will be accompanied to the chamber by a member of staff.
