About Hwyl Dewi at Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Join us for Hwyl Dewi, a special one‑day festival of live music, literature, and culture to celebrate St David’s Day. The event will take place throughout Aberystwyth Arts Centre from 10:00am onwards, with performances, workshops and activities for all ages.

Workshops & Activities A wide range of free sessions for children, families and adults, including:
· Stori a Chân: Welsh stories and songs for young children
· Lego workshop
· Ukulele workshop
· Welsh learner sessions, including a guided walking tour of the University campus
Talks & Presentations
· ‘What is Welsh?’ with Professor Mererid Hopwood and Mandi Morse.
· ‘Croeso i Geredigion (Welcome to Ceredigion)’ – an introduction to the area for anyone wanting to learn more about the county and the Welsh language.
Films & Food
· In the Cinema: a celebration of Wales’ rich alternative music heritage.
· In the Café: a special Welsh-themed menu.
This event is organised by the Centre for Welsh Language Services, Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Cered, and is funded by the Welsh Government’s St David’s Day Fund.
