About Bet Victor Welsh Open 2027
One of snooker's longest-running ranking tournaments returns to Llandudno in February, with the 2027 BetVictor Welsh Open celebrating the 35th anniversary of the event.
First held as a ranking tournament in 1992, the Welsh Open has remained a regular fixture on the snooker calendar ever since. Over the years its winners have included some of the sport's greatest names, including Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry, Ronnie O'Sullivan, John Higgins and Mark Williams.
Barry Hawkins claimed the 2026 title, defeating Jack Lisowski 9 - 5 in the final. Hawkins took control of the match early and went on to secure the Ray Reardon Trophy and the £100,000 winner's prize.
