About Swansea & Gower Cycling Festival
The Gower & Swansea Cycling Festival returns in 2026 for a five-day celebration of two-wheeled adventure, taking place from Wednesday 27 May to Sunday 31 May. Riders of all levels are invited to explore the scenic roads, quiet lanes, and coastal paths of the Gower Peninsula and surrounding Swansea area.
Rides for Every Ability:
The festival offers a wide range of guided rides, from gentle, family-friendly outings to longer, more challenging routes for seasoned cyclists. Each ride is led by experienced volunteers, with support along the way and regular rest stops. The focus is on enjoyment, camaraderie, and experiencing the stunning landscapes rather than competition.
Scenic Routes:
Cyclists will pass through some of South Wales’ most beautiful scenery, including the rolling hills, quiet villages, and dramatic coastline of the Gower, the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Each day brings a different route, giving participants the chance to see new parts of the region while riding at a comfortable pace.
Participants can purchase a full festival pass to access all rides or sign up for individual rides on selected days. The festival emphasizes an inclusive, social experience, welcoming everyone from newcomers to experienced cyclists to share in the adventure and the spectacular scenery.
