About The Green Gathering
The Green Gathering 2026 is set to take place from 30 July to 2 August in Piercefield Park, just outside Chepstow. It’s a relatively small festival compared to the big UK events, and it’s held in a scenic, woodland setting that really suits its nature-focused atmosphere.
What makes this festival stand out is its strong environmental ethos. It runs almost entirely on renewable energy like solar and wind power, and everything is designed to minimise impact on the environment. Rather than being purely about music, it blends entertainment with education, encouraging people to explore sustainable living, activism, and community ideas in a practical, hands-on way.
The experience itself is quite varied. Alongside live music from independent and alternative artists, you’ll find workshops, talks, craft areas, and spaces dedicated to wellbeing and relaxation. There are also areas designed specifically for families, so it tends to attract a mixed crowd rather than just partygoers.
The overall vibe is relaxed and community-driven rather than commercial or high-energy. It’s the kind of place where people are just as interested in conversations and learning new skills as they are in watching bands. If you’re used to large mainstream festivals, this will feel much more intimate and grounded.
