***TRIP A - Llangollen to Froncysyllte - 2 Hours

Depart from picturesque Llangollen Wharf on our canal boat "Thomas Telford" and enjoy two hours of peaceful cruising along the stunning Dee valley.
A live commentary from your skipper gives you the history, local knowledge and up to date gossip along the way.
A fully stocked bar can supply whatever refreshment you need, and why not book a light lunch to enjoy while you cruise?
The journey finishes over the famous and thrilling Pontcysyllte aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford in 1805 and unsurpassed to this day in its simplicity and engineering achievement. A courtesy coach waits to bring you back to Llangollen to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

***TRIP B - Return Journey to Bryn Howel - 2 Hours

A 2 hour return journey from Froncysyllte to Bryn Howel, making a double crossing of the famous aqueduct. For those for whom the thrill of the aqueduct, 126 feet above the River Dee, is the highlight of the trip, this is the journey to take. Two crossings in two hours, as the opening and finale, make this trip unique indeed.
A fully stocked bar provides something to steady the nerves of the less daring, or a celebratory toast for those who marvel at this remarkable feat of engineering, still unsurpassed 2 centuries after it first opened.
A courtesy coach whisks you from Llangollen Wharf to the aqueduct to start your journey and returns you to Llangollen afterwards.

Please note the "B" trip runs very rarely. More usually there would be an "A" trip and a "C" trip each day.


***TRIP C - Froncysyllte to Llangollen Wharf - 2 Hours

A 2 hour single journey from Froncysyllte to Llangollen Wharf a courtesy coach takes you from Llangollen Wharf to Froncysyllte. (Check in at the Wharf 15 minutes before the scheduled start of your trip.)
Start your trip by crossing the mighty Pontcysyllte aqueduct aboard our canal boat "Thomas Telford". After that excitement, relax and enjoy the scenery of the Dee valley as you journey up the most beautiful canal in Great Britain.
A fully stocked bar will serve whatever drinks you require to make your voyage complete. A live commentary will point out places of interest and give you any historical facts worthy of note as you go.
Arrive in the busy but picturesque town of Llangollen two hours after the start of your trip. We can serve Welsh Cream Teas on this trip if ordered in advance.

PLEASE NOTE
Motorised canal boat trips on the "Thomas Telford" run twice every day throughout the season, the first trip at 12.15 hrs from Llangollen Wharf, and the second at 14.00 hrs. Check in at the Wharf 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Due to exceptional demand there will be additional trips 'A' on 3rd, 4th, 17th, and 26th August departing Llangollen Wharf at 10.00am. (For more details see the special events page)
