About Swtan Heritage Museum
Swtan (pronounced Su-tan) is a fully restored example of a 17th century Welsh cottage with a thatched roof. It is situated on the beautiful north west coast of Anglesey, in the picturesque village of Church Bay (Porth Swtan).
The restoration of Swtan was masterminded by Cyfeillon Swtan/Friends of Swtan who continue to successfully run the site today as a charitable trust. As well as the Cottage, there is a well-stocked vegetable plot and a herb garden showcasing the traditional use of herbs for culinary and medicinal purposes.
