About Eco Walking Holidays

SELF-GUIDED WALKING HOLIDAY

Pembrokeshire Coast Path | Newport to Solva

Preseli Venture’s Self-Guided Walking Holiday is a beautifully crafted, low-impact way to experience some of the most cinematic sections of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Designed for independent walkers who value flexibility, comfort and local insight, this single-centre holiday combines wild coastal walking with climate-conscious accommodation and seamless logistics.

WHERE WILL I WALK?

Walk one of the most dramatic stretches of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, following the coastline from Newport to Solva via the Pencaer and St Davids peninsulas. This route showcases towering cliffs, sheltered coves, volcanic headlands and wide Atlantic views, with daily walks carefully curated to highlight the very best scenery.

The holiday includes five days of walking, with two itinerary styles to choose from:

  • Easy-moderate option with gentler daily mileage: The Unwinding Way

  • More challenging option for confident walkers: The Pilgrim's Path

As a self-guided experience, guests set their own pace and choose rest days, shorter walks or extensions if desired.

WHAT WILL I SEE?

This is walking rich in natural beauty, wildlife and heritage. Expect encounters with grey seals along the shoreline, seabirds nesting on cliff faces, and regular sightings of dolphins and porpoises offshore. The route passes ancient burial chambers, hidden coves, historic woollen mills, and culminates near the magnificent St David's Cathedral. Your exclusive guidebook details all the must-see features along the way, giving you historical context, cultural insight, and cues for nature-watching.

Seasonal colour from thrift, sea campion and gorse lines the paths, while rock pools, beaches and tidal inlets offer endless moments of quiet discovery.

WHERE WILL I STAY?

Guests stay at Preseli Venture’s climate-conscious self-catering accommodation, nestled in the peaceful Abermawr Valley, just a short walk from the coast path and beach.

Accommodation options include:

  • The Eco Barn – a spacious Dutch barn conversion sleeping up to 8

  • The Courtyard Cottages – beautifully restored cottages sleeping 2–8

All accommodation is single-centre, meaning guests return to the same base each night — no daily packing or luggage transfers required. After a day on the trail, relax by a wood-burning stove, enjoy valley views, or gather outdoors under the stars.
