About Y Beudy, Y Stabal & Farmhouse

Gwyliau Talwrn Bach (Talwrn Bach Holidays) is a small family concern providing self-catering holiday homes to rent within the Snowdonia National Park. The attractive, typically Welsh stone farmhouse and cottages are situated along a quiet lane about half a mile from the village of Llanbedr, some two miles from Mochras, also known as Shell Island.

The farmhouse has 6 bedroom and sleeps up to 10 (8 adults plus 2 children in bunks); the Stabal Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 (2 adults and 2 children in bunks); Y Beudy Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 5. The three units can be booked in any combination giving great flexibility for groups of any size.

Our location near stunning beaches and mountains make us a popular destination for families, couples and groups, to enjoy walking, cycling, golf as well as traditional seaside holidays and the opportunity to visit the numerous historical sites and tourist attractions in the area. For a rural location we have very good public transport links and are well located for steam train enthusiasts.

Y Beudy and Y Stabal Cottages

Llanbedr, within easy walking distance, is a small, pretty village with pubs serving excellent food and a small grocery store. Nearby Harlech with its spectacular castle is a world heritage site, and there are shops, attractions etc at Barmouth and Porthmadog within easy driving distance.

The farm, Talwrn Bach, was our family home for several generations and is now run as a holiday business. The farmhouse has pleasant gardens at the front and six bedrooms. In recent years the old farm buildings were converted into two cottages. The character of the 300 year old building was retained, with exposed beams, restored stonework, doors and windows in traditional local style. The old farmyard was converted into a large patio area, shared between the two cottages. A second patio area is available for all the guests, with a stunning view out towards the sea. Across the lane is a walled orchard, also shared by all our guests. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped, with oil central heating throughout.

There is ample car parking space on site. Free Wi-Fi is provided.
