About The Woodland Retreat
This beautifully restored traditional holiday cottage is situated in a 12-acre wood not far from the quaint coastal village of Solva and county town of Haverfordwest. The Woodland Retreat is the perfect choice for anyone who likes a dash of luxury with their peace and quiet.
The open plan living area is fresh, modern and inviting, with a kitchen and dining area for two people. There’s also a comfortable double bedroom for the best post-sea swim sleep and a wet room with a shower, toilet and washbasin. A handy storage shed for bikes and luggage adjoins the main house.
In the sheltered gravel section of the walled garden to the rear, you’ll find a picnic table and barbecue area. A lovely place to relax on a sunny summer’s evening, listening to the waves in the distance. To the front of the property lies a large wildlife pond and extensive lawns, surrounded by woodland. Up to two dogs are very welcome at the cottage and there are plenty of dog-friendly walks in the immediate local area.
In the summer, the cottage is a cool sanctuary to relax in after a day at the beach or a walk along the famous coastline. In colder months, the underfloor heating and cosy wood burning stove keep you as snug as a bug. It’s an especially romantic ‘cwtch’ (as we say in Wales) if you’re enjoying a holiday with your special someone!
