About Willow Cottage

Situated less than a mile from the quaint town of Cardigan, this spacious 3 bedroomed, 2 bathrooms detached bungalow is a real home from home.  After a day exploring the sunning local countryside and coastal regions, return to the large enclosed dog friendly garden where you can enjoy a barbeque whilst relaxing under the veranda on comfortable garden furnishings or take your pick of two patio areas - watching the visiting birds and squirrels.  On cooler evenings relax in the lounge area after having a meal which has been rustled up in the spacious open plan kitchen and dining room.

As you venture into Cardigan Town you will find the beautiful, restored Castle with 900 years of history to unravel.  The town has an array of shops pubs and cafes, some with views over the river where a hearty Welsh welcome awaits you.  From the river you can stroll through the Teifi Marshes to the Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran.  You can also visit the 13th century fortress at Cilgerran overlooking the Teifi Gorge.  Only a few miles out of Cardigan you will find some lovely beaches with Poppit Sands just a few minutes away and the National Trust run Mwnt Beach with its little white church. Willow Cottage makes an ideal base to visit further afield, north to  Aberystwyth, where you can take a steam train to Devil's Bridge, visit New Quay and take a boat ride to see the dolphin population, seals and bird life, maybe a stop at  Aberaeron or any of the smaller beaches and coves that stretch through the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastlines.  Perhaps you could venture south to Tenby where you can take a boat ride to the Monastic Caldey Island which houses a Monastery which is home to the Cistercian Monks who continue a tradition of more than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living.  They welcome visitors to the Island during the summer months and weather permitting.
