Tŷ Coch

The view
Five acres of wild beauty and your own private beach on the untamed Welsh coast. Set between the sea and the mountains in the Llŷn Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — with Eryri (Snowdonia) and Ynys Môn (Anglesey) nearby — Ty Coch is surrounded on every side by natural beauty and outdoor adventure. But Ty Coch isn’t just a place to stay while you explore the region — it’s an adventure in itself. This coastal smallholding feels a world apart. You can swim, paddle, cook outdoors, build dens, light fires, camp under the stars, catch tiddlers (or wild sea bass), play outdoor games, spot wildlife or just sit out and soak it up — all without getting in the car.

About Tŷ Coch

Ty Coch isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an adventure in itself. Set between sea and mountain on the wild side of the Llŷn Peninsula, this coastal smallholding feels a world apart. You can swim, paddle, cook outdoors, build dens, light fires, camp under the stars, catch tiddlers or wild sea bass, play outdoor games, spot wildlife or just sit out and soak it up — all without getting in the car. What began as the rescue of a derelict farmstead has grown into a regenerative retreat where families can reconnect with nature, and with each other.

The Dairy (sleeps 4) and The Barn (sleeps 2 + 2) are comfortable, thoughtfully designed and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Expect big tables for sociable meals, comfy sofas, soft natural textures and spectacular views from every window. Underfloor heating run on 100% renewables keeps things cosy and sustainable whatever the weather.

with enough room for up to 14 with views out to sea the dinning room at Ty Coch is perfect for your group to all come together and relax over a meal,

Beyond the doors lie five acres of meadows, ponds and green lanes, gently rewilded since 2009 and alive with birdsong. Follow the stream for a soak in the wood-fired bath or wander down to your own private beach for swimming, beachcombing and spectacular sunsets. At low tide, a wide sandbank appears — perfect for paddling, kayaking and wild play. As night falls, stars fill the sky, the firepit crackles, and the sea provides the soundtrack.

A place to breathe deeply, live simply and remember what holidays are for.
