About Pine Cottage, Graig Wen House
Pine Cottage is a 2 bedroom self-catering cottage at Graig Wen near Dolgellau, in a particularly beautiful corner of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It overlooks the wide Mawddach Estuary and surrounding peaks, so you feel part of the landscape from the moment you arrive.
The large, fully enclosed terrace is your own outdoor room in the wild, a safe place for children and dogs to wander while you sit out and watch the tide and light shift across the estuary. Inside, the open plan lounge and kitchen is set up for relaxed stays, with doors straight out to the terrace so those views are always close.
From the cottage you can drop down through woods and meadows to the Mawddach Trail, a traffic free path for family walks and bike rides, with beaches, castles and steam trains within a short drive.
Graig Wen is a favourite place for friends and family to get together. Each house has its own character and features, but all are spacious and comfortable with everything you need for your home from home. Sit back, relax and take in the panoramic views from the houses facing the Mawddach Estuary – one of the most stunning treasures of the Welsh coast.
Pine Cottage adjoins the 3 other self-catering lets at Graig Wen. All the accommodation shares the same roof of this big former Victorian slate cutting shed. Graig Wen’s small and quiet touring camp site is next door. Guests are welcome to explore 45 acres of wild woods and meadows leading to The Mawddach Trail.
