Cartref

Located near Beddgelert, Gwynedd, Cartref is set on a working farm at the base of Snowdon. It offers simple accommodation in a spectacular setting. Surrounded by rugged countryside and with excellent walking trails right on the doorstep, the National Trust holiday cottage is a great base to discover all that Snowdonia has to offer. Inside, the cottage has a back-to-basics feel with a compact but cosy interior which accommodates up to two guests. Due to Cartref’s small size, there's no shower inside the cottage but there's a new outdoor shower and copper bath tub on the deck (available from 1st April 2023). You'll have a view of the neighbouring waterfalls as you bathe. Guests are also welcome to use the showers at the nearby campsite.

This cottage, and all National Trust holiday cottages in the national park have been awarded silver status in this plastic-free business programme, and we are making changes to work towards gold status.
