16 Freshwater Bay is a delightful New England Style holiday home, based in Trewant Park, and 200 metres from the glorious, dog-friendly Freshwater East Beach. The house is next door to Jacks at the Longhouse, a friendly pub/restaurant that does not stay open too late and is usually quite quiet in the evenings unless an event is on, in which case join in and have some fun!
It is styled as a restful shabby chic beach house vibe, and we want you to feel we have invited you into our home by including wonderful and quirky pictures and ornaments throughout.
The house sleeps six in 3 bedrooms – a twin, a double, and a king size master with en-suite. There is also a main bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs, so three bathrooms in total.
The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for a restful holiday – fridge-freezer, combination microwave, standalone cooker with double oven, slow cooker and every cooking utensil and pan that you can think of. There is also vintage china in the dresser in the lounge if you want to have a lovely evening meal or Sunday lunch.
The lounge has a smart TV for you to log into your Netflix, Disney accounts etc., and has Sky TV basic channels. We have fast Sky broadband in the house as well which has a great connection from all rooms.
There are games, DVDs, books and even kids’ surprises in the twin room including some books and larger toys.
We have a travel cot (bring your own linen – see our website for sizing), and highchair, hoover and mops for you too.
Dogs are welcome – up to two please – more on request – but not allowed upstairs, or ideally to be left in the house. We have throws and towels for the dogs in our linen box in the lounge.
We are one of the few houses at the front of the park with a wraparound garden laid to shingle for the pooches to have a wee, and we have a patio with table and chairs, and a shed that can house bikes, but also has spare chairs, beach chairs, windbreaks etc., for families to enjoy.
Please be aware these are often left behind by other families and we are not responsible for their upkeep. We also have a pull-along shopping trolley that’s really useful to take stuff to the beach with!
The house is situated brilliantly for exploring the Pembrokeshire coastal pathways, and is near to Stackpole, and Barafundal beach, Freshwater West, Bosherston Lily ponds, Tenby and of course Pembroke with its spectacular castle. Lots of things to do featured on our website also. Please be aware that some beaches do have dog restrictions in the summer months like Saundersfoot, and three of the Tenby beaches. We love ours, Angle and Manobier and Broad Haven South that have no restrictions.
