Set in the beautiful Elan Valley on the banks of the river Elan, it is nature at its best, 34 hard standing Super pitches, 22 Grass Electric Pitches and 40 Camping pitches non Electric, nature is all around you, red kites, Buzzards and peregrine Falcons, flying above. Badgers making their dens in the banks and Otter’s swimming in the river below.
At the entrance to the site is the cycle track which starts in Cwmdauddwr and takes you past the visitor’s centre and on up to the Craig Goch reservoir which is the top dam, you can join the track at any point along its length. The track follows the route of the old railway line which took men and materials to work on the dams, and in some places the actual line itself.
The market town of Rhayader is 2.5 miles away with a variety of shops where you can buy all your essentials. There are numerous places in Rhayader for good home cooked food and local beer.
The site offers peace and tranquillity for those who feel the need to recharge their batteries from the hectic pace of life, but also provides lots to do for families with younger members. We have built Elan Oaks to a very high standard including, three full bathrooms which have a toilet, shower and wash basin in each. Other facilities include a washing machine and tumble dryer.
All the hard standing pitches, which are open all the year round have - 10 Amp Electric, Personal water supply, Satellite & Freeview connection, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, XL Pitch size with hard standing for 1 car.
