About Winter Fair - November at Royal Welsh Showground
Come and celebrate Christmas and witness the finest prime stock show in Europe at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair held annually at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells. As one of the finest prime stock shows in Europe, the Royal Welsh Winter Fair draws crowds from far and wide to enjoy two-days packed full of competitions, festivities and Christmas shopping.
Away from the judging rings the very best of Welsh food producers will be showcasing their produce and Christmas shoppers can explore the hundreds of trade stands, demonstrations and exhibitions and festive atmosphere.
The Winter Fair offers shoppers the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique and original Christmas gifts from the hundreds of tradestands across the showground during the two-day event. Visitors will be able to enjoy watching the live music and carol singers performing throughout the showground, and even have a chance to meet Father Christmas!
As well as livestock competitions, the Winter Fair hosts a huge variety of different classes and competitions, including horses, the hound show, dressed poultry, butchery, meat hampers, cookery, produce and handicraft, horticulture and floral art… there’s something for everyone to get involved in.
The renowned Food Hall attracts producers from all over Wales and further afield and is packed full of culinary delights, demonstrations, perfect Christmas gifts and tempting tasters. Come along, eat, drink and be merry!
There are plenty of places across the Llanelwedd showground to have a bite to eat or a festive tipple. Enjoy refreshments at one of the many mobile food stands and independent stalls, or warm up inside at one of many catering facilities.
