The route will lead you on a circular trail through the birthplace of Richard Burton, in the stunning village of Pontrhydyfen. The ascents and descents will challenge and excite runners as you explore the twists and turns along the route, as you run through the village of Cwmafon, across the iconic Pontrhydyfen Aqueduct, and through the charming surroundings of the wooded cycle path.
The community support at the RB10K is unmatched, with an uplifting sense of community spirit running alongside you throughout the race.
Beginning in 1981, the race takes its name from the Hollywood actor who took Wales to the world: Richard Burton. The race pays homage to Burton’s love of his birthplace, and his sheer determination to achieve beyond limits. Burton leant his name to the race from the very beginning, and runners have been inspired by the great Welsh actor in each race since.
Join us in 2025 and make the Richard Burton Centenary the year we break our records.
