About Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival at Cardiff

Iris Prize celebrates amazing LGBT+ film all year round. Over its 16 year history, Iris Prize has become a leading voice in championing LGBT+ short film, and a significant event in the British film festival calendar.

Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival takes place in Cardiff each October.
A BAFTA-qualifying festival for British film, Iris is also home of the Iris Prize £30,000 film award – the world’s largest short film prize. The award allows the winner to make a new short film. Watch some of the past films made by Iris Prize winners.

Iris also runs LGBT+ film screenings, mini festivals and LGBT+ outreach projects throughout the year.
