About South Wales Aviation Museum

South Wales Aviation Museum (SWAM) is based at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Museum has been created to preserve the rich Aviation History in South Wales. The Museum hopes to inspire the next generation of talented aviators and engineers.

SWAM is a not for profit organisation and a registered charity completely self funded. 100% of the proceeds go to the upkeep and running of the museum and gift shop. There is a dedicated team of volunteers and every single volunteer makes a valuable difference to the Museum.

Visitors are encouraged to interact with the aircraft's and exhibits which enables them to have a fully immersive experience. There is a selection of cockpits open for you to be able to take a closer look at. As well as the vast array of aircraft on display, there are exhibition rooms, a gift shop and an onsite cafe.

SWAM also hold regular organised visits from schools, cub groups, beavers groups and clubs. If you would like to organise a group visit then drop us an email to info@swam.online or give us a call on 01446 789787.
