About The Farm at Carreg Cennen

The Farm at Carreg Cennen Tea Rooms and Craft Shop is situated in 1 mile north east of Trapp, just 4 miles from Llandeilo in Carmartheshire, on the western fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The Land on which the Carreg Cennen Castle is built is part of Tir y Castell (Land of the Castle) Farm. It is a working hill farm with some 65 head of Pedigree Longhorn Cattle, around 300 Sheep, mainly Welsh Mountain Sheep but also some Balwens, Soays and Exmoor Horns, Welsh Cobs and various Poultry who like to roam the yard.

During the summer months the animals will be out at grass so your best chance of seeing them is on your way up the Castle. The Longhorn Beef is available for sale in the shop through a box scheme.
