Garnffrwd Trout Fishery

In the heart of Wales, set in beautiful woodland suroundings, you will find a superbly designed and landscaped 5 acre lake fed by a quater of a million gallons of natural spring water per day. The lake was built in 1983 with the trout fisherman in mind and is abundant in aquatic life. There are always good hatches of Sedge, Damsel, Mayfly, and many other species of fly and crustacean. The platforms are carefully positioned so that most of the water can be covered whilst still allowing plenty of room for the fisherman or women to enjoy the fishing in pleasant, uncrowded and peaceful surroundings. Toilet facilities are provided. The lake holds good sized Rainbow Trout (many in double figures), and also Browns when in season. A large percentage of the fish we stock are reared at the fishery and are superbly conditioned fighters, just waiting for someone to have a go! In all, Garnffrwd offers only the best all round. Our luxury Log Cabins, set on the edge of the woodlands are available for holidays, weekend or mid week breaks. Also available is Cerrig Cottage, a beautifully converted 18th century stone barn. Both have excellent heating and are open throughout the year. We also have a small CL site for touring caravans. Situated in a flat, well sheltered paddock with easy access.
