Local amenities are close at hand and a few restaurants are within walking distance. Ty Penllain House is strictly no smoking. An outbuilding is available for smokers.

The nearest beach is Mwnt 3.3 miles along the lanes and the beaches of Gwbert-on-Sea and Poppit Sands allow dog walkers all year round and all other beaches from 01st October to 30th April. Other nearby beaches include Aberporth, Tresaith, Penbryn, Llangrannog, Cwmtydu and New Quay.

Ty Penllain House is a fantastic base to access all Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Mid Wales and the lakes and North West Wales and Snowden. There are great walks around the Ceredigion and Pembroke coastal paths and there are buses that you can hail and ride and can accommodate a limited number of bikes.
Ty Penllain House sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. The accommodation consists of 2 Double Bedrooms and 1 Bunk Bedroom on the first floor. A travel cot and high chair is available on request. All bed linen is provided. Towels and tea towels are not provided. The bathroom also on the first floor has a separate bath and a shower cubicle. The traditional country style kitchen has electric cooker and hobs, microwave, automatic washing machine, fridge and freezer. The living room comprises of a 3 piece suite and a 40" LCD TV and DVD and a wood burning stove. The house is centrally heated. The dining room leads into the kitchen and to the large conservatory furnished with a dining table, 3 piece suite and 26" LCD TV and DVD. The conservatory leads into a private and enclosed garden and patio, which is dog and child friendly, a gate separates the small pond and lawn area and another gate separates the 2 space parking area. Entrance to the car park is though double gates off the side road. A study adjoins the living room. An outside WC is located in the garden. Two well behaved pets are welcome at an additional fee of £15 each.

Close to the busy market town of Cardigan, there are lots of things to do and plenty of entertainment and activities which include theatre, cinema, shops and plenty of good eating places, pubs, canoeing, fishing, golf, horse riding and boat trips to Cardigan Island to see the dolphins, seals and birds.
