About Pen Hafod

Pen Hafod, (translates into English as summer residence on a hill) is exactly what our home is all about! It has been lovingly renovated to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay. We believe that time with family and friends is precious (now more than ever before) As hosts it's our promise to do everything we can to ensure your stay at Pen Hafod enhances your holiday memories.

We have 2 reception rooms on the ground floor, the front room having a ‘click clack’ sofa bed (sleeps 1) and an electric fire, through to a family lounge and newly installed modern kitchen diner to the rear. The new, fully equipped kitchen comes with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is access from our kitchen out to the side path which leads to the garden.

Upstairs we have a stunning newly renovated bathroom, with large shower enclosure and roll top bath.

We 've invested in 100% Egyptian cotton linen for all the beds as well as 100% Egyptian cotton towels to make your stay extra special.
Our main bedroom has a double four poster bed and has the best views of the Loughor Estuary, 11 Arches Viaduct and over to The Gower Peninsula. The rear bedroom looks out over the hill behind the property We have 2 wardrobes and plenty of drawers for your personal items.

Outside we have a rear family friendly garden, backing onto the fields and Cefn Drum mountain which can be accessed via the garden. Be sure to close the back gate to avoid having any woolly guests!

The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self-check in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed but we are here to great you if you prefer. We also offer a 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.
Pen Hafod has recently had a full fire safety inspection from Mid and West Wales Fire Service and has heat, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installed.
Other things to note
The property has quite a few steps up to the front door (It's the price we pay for the wonderful view) so for less mobile guests we would recommend using the flatter rear entrance through the garden which only has a few steps down to the back door. Free parking is available at the front and back of the property.
