Owl Barn Retreat offers stunning self catering accommodation set on the very edge of the Tanat Valley. We enjoy a stunning rural location, being totally surrounded by fields and wildlife. In order to maximise this we have 2 rooms with large sliding glass patio doors, which open onto large balconies that allow you to enjoy the panorama from both outside and inside, no matter what the weather!
Renovated to a very high sustainable specification and using many innovative eco materials, the accommodation comprises of Porch, Kitchen/diner with full length balcony, oak floorboards and energy efficient oven/hob and appliances. Worktops are made from recycled glass bottles. Central heating from a wood pellet boiler via thermaskirt and radiators. The living area is again oak boarded with a superior 3 seater sofa bed and lounge chair. TV, DVD, wide selection of reference books for the local area. The balcony stretches almost the full width of the living room, framing the panorama of the Berwyns to perfection. We are blessed with many glorious sunsets which you can watch from here. The hallway leads to the Wet Room which has a walk in shower, sink and toilet. Grab rails are fitted. The room is tiled with non slip floor tiles and attractive wall tiles. There is a lit shaving mirror.
Opposite is the double bedroom. Up the only stairs is the twin bedded grog loft (which has restricted head room) cork flooring and portable TV for use with playstaion 2.
Outside there is an attractive cottage garden and 2 acres of paddocks. We have a huge variety of birds that visit and in spring the valley is filled with the sound of lambs, curlews and frogs! A charming property, for people, who enjoy nature in its full glory.
