New Farm Barry is a working farm of 450 acres with its 17th century farmhouse at its heart. We welcome families, friends and gatherings at our farmhouse (independent of our homes) with its great access to Town, Country, Coast and City on its doorstep, you won't be short of finding something to do for all occasions.
Our large patio area is great in the summer months for entertaining with a BBQ and firepit, dining tables and lounges surrounded by our bursting flower beds. The oak beamed dining room lends itself to the winter months and the inclement weather to host upto15 at the tables. The separate Kitchen is well equipped for catering of large gatherings with a double oven, a separate grill, fridge freezer & microwave in addition an extra fridge and microwave are also in the dining room. Our lounge has a wide screen smart TV, 2 leather sofas and occasional chairs with a window seat (toys inside). Games etc provided in the hall cabinet.
The seven bedrooms are beautifully decorated in country fabrics making it warm and welcoming. All but 2 bedrooms have e/s. Theses 2 double rooms share the bathroom but have washing facilities in bedrooms.
Sara has a wealth of local knowledge for your trips and can provide lists for entertainment, activities and catering if you so wish to use during your stay.
We welcome all visitors to witness our daily lives on our working farm in all seasons, come rain or shine.
Barry is 10 min away with its eclectic shops and restaurants in High street with the unique 'Goodsheds' shops, cafe/bar and street foods tucked nearby. Barry Island with its vast sandy beach to the 'Pebble ' beach at the Knap has no limits to its cross age entertainment. From the funfair to quiet seats along the promenade.
Cardiff is 30 min a bus stop is just 100m from the farm gate and a local train service runs every 20 min. We can provide contacts for mini bus hire too.
