Glain Orme, a beautiful Victorian villa, is set on the lower slopes of the Great Orme, yet close to the town of Llandudno having spectacular views of both beaches and the Snowdonia Mountain range beyond. Built in 1885, at the height of the town's popularity as a resort, the villa has remained in the ownership of the same family right up to the present day and retains many original features. The front terraced gardens offer a tranquil backdrop for alfresco dining or just sitting to admire the sea views. The town with its Victorian pier and promenade are a short walk away as are many excellent restaurants. The Great Orme tramway will take you to the summit and the Country Park, alternatively there is a cable car ride from the nearby artificial Ski slope which also offers snowboarding and a toboggan run. The town of Llandudno has beaches to both the East and West, and is convenient for day trips into Snowdonia via the Conwy Valley or along the coast. There are four golf courses within 5 miles, and plenty of opportunities for sailing, riding, or even paragliding in the area.
