Cwt Mochyn - Banceithin

Cwt Mochyn is the perfect home from home, dog-friendly, holiday cottage in Ceredigion; a rural retreat for family holidays where kids can run free, go exploring with the Nature Adventure Box and cook dinner cowboy style on the campfire.

This eco-friendly, three bedroom self-catering holiday cottage is a reinvention of a former 1800’s stone cow barn with adjoining pig sty, converted into a spacious, detached, single-storey cottage. The owners are gold members of the Green Tourism Scheme and Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Champions.

A contemporary fitted kitchen is well equipped, and essentials are provided like oil and a selection of herbs & spices for guests who like to cook. Reclaimed and upcycled furniture not found in any catalogue or department store, and little artistic touches, give it a character all its own. Original stone walls and wooden beams have been retained in the open living-dining space with wood burning stove, where the high ceiling opens up to the roof. There are three colourful bedrooms, each with plenty of hanging and drawer space for clothing; all bed linen and towels provided are organic cotton, and vintage Welsh wool blankets and hot water bottles will keep you cosy on winter nights. A cot and highchair are available for little ones.

The enclosed garden features a lawn and patio with picnic bench and chairs, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a BBQ is available for summer evenings.

Guests are welcome to bring up to two dogs (no puppies).
