About Cefn Coleshill Barn
Cefn Coleshill Barn is set on a working farm in a lovely rural location with beautiful views of the Clwydian Hills to the rear, Cheshire to the side and fabulous views of the Dee Estuary, Wirral and Liverpool to the front. On a really clear day you can even see the Cumbrian Hills.
The Dairy and The Shippon are located on a working farm, on a quiet country lane, just 1 mile from junction 32A on the A55 expressway, making them an ideal location for visiting Chester, Wirral and North Wales.
Both properties have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each with a double bedroom on the ground floor with shower en-suite. The first floor facilities in both include a spacious king size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a generous bathroom with full size bath and separate shower enclosure. All bedrooms have TVs and both lounges have smart TVs.
The Dairy and The Shippon have Fibre Broadband, making them suitable for those wishing to work away from home as an alternative to stopping in a hotel.
For guests with limited mobility both properties have a lounge, kitchen and double bedroom with en-suite shower room all on the same level. In addition, all doorways are wide enough to allow wheelchair access making it an ideal location for those with limited mobility. There is however a step into the en-suite shower cubicles and there are no handrails to the ground floor toilets, so please contact us first to make sure the accommodation is suitable for your needs.
For families with young children there are stairgates fitted at the top and bottom of the staircases. Mamas and Papas Cots (1 in each property) are available in both barns together with highchairs. In addition, purpose made window guards are fitted to all first floor low height windows and blind cords have been cut to prevent a choking hazard. Finally, there are reading and colouring books, colouring pencils, CDs, games, jigsaws, and toys available in both properties which have been enjoyed in the past by our younger guests.
Both kitchens are well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Whilst situated on a working farm the barn is accessed by a separate entrance to that used by the farm and gates are in place which you can keep closed when your children are playing outside enjoying the country air.
The location of the barns is perfect for enjoying the area’s beautiful sandy beaches and superb selection of golf courses, whilst the nearby Clwydian hills and Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath affords excellent walking and birdwatching opportunities. Easily accessible too is the historic city of Chester, with its Roman wall walks, world famous zoo, racecourse and black and white shopping rows. Just 3 miles away lies the charming market town of Holywell, site of one of the Seven Wonders of Wales –St Winefride’s Holy Well. Shop and pub serving food 1.5 miles.
