Is a traditional Welsh fisherman’s cottage, in an enviable position on the sea shore overlooking the Menai Straits towards Snowdonia and Puffin Island. It is directly on The Anglesey Coastal Path. At certain tides the waves lap the patio walls. It is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beaumaris (2 miles) is a World Heritage Site and has been voted Ynys Mon’s most attractive town. It has a castle, pier, various interesting independent shops and excellent restaurants. Boat trips to Puffin Island and fishing trips can be booked locally.
Accessibility Statement. There about 8 steep steps down to front door. There are several changes in levels on the ground floor including 3 steps down into sitting room and one into the kitchen. The stairs have a twist to the top and there are two steps down and again up to access the bathroom from the twin bedroom. The doors are painted a contrasting colour to the walls. There is a vibrating alarm clock provided. Subtitles are available on the TV.
Downstairs:
Hallway with ample hanging pegs.
Sitting room, which was the old boat house, has a wood burner (or electric wood burner), TV with DVD, beams and French doors leading to the patio with sea views. There are DVDs, games and a small selection of Welsh interest books.
Dining room, with traditional table and seating for 6. There is an electric fire.
Kitchen, is very well equipped with farmhouse range with two ovens and 5 hot plates, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
Bedroom 3 with bunk beds and arched window with sea view.
Outside: Toilet with hand basin. Laundry room with washing machine, butler sink and drying facilities.
First floor:
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and fitted wardrobe. Sea views.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds with dual sea view aspect. Hanging facilities and chest of drawers. Hair dryer.
Bathroom has basin, WC and bath with an electric power shower over it.
The oil fired central heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are included.
Bed linen and towels included.
Outside:
Attractive grassed gardens. Patio area with table and chairs with direct access onto the beach. Car parking. Tap.
NB:
No smoking please.
Due to steps access both inside and outside, this property may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility.
There are changes of level around the property and guests need to be aware of these and the incoming tide times if accompanied by children.
The approach is 3/4 mile off the highway down an uneven private farm track.
One dog welcome at small extra charge.
There is livestock in adjacent fields.
